Discover The Colorful World of Disney Pixar's Coco

In the Plaza de la Familia in Disney California Adventure Park discover the colorful world of Coco & the spirit of Dia de los Muertos.  Coco is a new Disney Pixar movie that was in theaters November 2017.

“Despite his family's generations-old ban on music, young Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead. After meeting a charming trickster named Hector (Gael García Bernal), the two new friends embark on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel's family history.” (Disney Pixar Coco)

As you enter the area the music and delicious smells of food pull you in.  Head on over to the Paradise Garden Grill for the special menu of Mexican food there is something for everyone.  I was told almost everything on the menu is gluten free (except the potato dish).

Once you have your food head on over to find a table and be serenaded by the beautiful Mariachi music.  After you finish your meal you will want to visit the Coco exhibit and experience a touching family custom. Be sure to check the show times to see the Musical Celebration of Coco. Watch as the songs from Disney Pixar's Coco come to life via the enchanting performances by the storytellers, dancers, Mariachi Divas and traditional music.

The last area you won't want to miss is actually at the entrance of the Plaza de la Familia.  There you will see the Arbol de la Vida, or The Tree of Life.  In this area guests can write thoughts of their loved ones and hang them on the near by wall of memories.  There is also an interactive photo spot and face painting.

This is a special event and runs from September 7 - November 4, 2018 in Disney California Adventure Park in the Plaza de la Familia area.  Certainly a memorable celebration you don't want to miss. For more details please visit the Disneyland Parks website.
