The Anaheim Hotel

My personal review of The Anaheim Hotel.

The Anaheim Hotel is located just a short walk from the main entrance of Disneyland Park.  They offer 306 rooms, Olympic sized pool and jacuzzi, meeting space, on site Pizza Press and a bar in the lobby.

I received a media rate discount without obligation to write this review.

Check In/Check Out

The check in process is very easy as you enter it is located to the right in the lobby. Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am.
The check out process is easy too, they attach your final bill to your door the morning of your checkout and as long as everything is correct you leave the keys on the table and leave when you are ready.

The front entrance and lobby has recently been remodeled and was always very clean. Customer service from the staff was excellent, always kind and friendly both in person, online and over the phone.

Disneyland

The walk to the Disneyland park down Harbor Blvd. is not bad at all. I’d say depending on how fast or slow you walk (or how tired you are) it is about 5-10 minute walk from the hotel lobby to the security of Disneyland.

Room

Park View Room, 2nd floor (room 538)
Two queens

There are a variety of room options to fit your needs, from a standard two queen/king room to suites, as well as ADA accessible rooms too.  Rollaway beds and cribs are available for an additional charge.

I stayed in one of the Park View rooms located on the second floor in the building directly behind the hotel lobby, across from the fitness center.

Some notable features of this room:

two queen beds with extra pillows (very comfortable)
armchair
dresser
flatscreen TV
mini fridge
desk with a chair
small balcony with two chairs
Air conditioning
multiple port usb hub
tub/shower combo

The wifi signal was outstanding, which is very rare to get at a busy hotel. My teen had no problem watching his YouTube videos and I had no problem uploading videos/pics to social media.

The bathroom is rather small but it has what you need.  The floors were a little squeaky when you walked in the room but that is to be expected as this is an older hotel. There was a very small gap in the bottom of the door but that is pretty common in an older building; it was hardly noticeable and I wasn’t concerned.

My only complaint about my stay was in the room the curtains were a very thin fabric. There was a very bright light outside to light up the walkway and it shined right in the room. Even in the morning at 6 or 7am the room was very bright with the curtains closed. After that first night I just put a pillow over my eyes or faced away from the sliding door and managed. I have noticed since my visit several of the rooms have been updated so they might be slightly different now.

Overall, The Anaheim Hotel is a decent hotel to rest your head at night if you are visiting the Disneyland Resort Parks.  Definitely take advantage of the discounts including AAA and even a discount for Disneyland Annual Passholders. And getting Uber/Lyft is so easy, they pick up/drop off right at the hotel driveway.
