The Buddy Pass for the Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue attraction at Disney California Adventure Park can help save your group a ton of time waiting in line if eligible.

The Buddy Pass is only available for the Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue attraction in Disney California Adventure Park. It is a way for Disney to quickly fill empty rows and keep the line moving. Think of it similar to the single rider lines but you can go with a friend.

Ask the cast member at the queue entrance if you are eligible. If you are eligible the cast member will give you a paper card which you will take with you and proceed to the left which is actually the exit of the attraction. Then another cast member will direct you were to stand (typically against the wall) and will call you when they need to fill an empty row.

To be eligible you need to be a small group of 1-2 people. Special seating requests not available (example if you request to sit in a certain row). Subject to availability.

Just like the single rider line there is no guarantee you will get on the attraction any faster and on busy days they might not have the Buddy Pass available. On my last solo trip my personal experience is that I did get on sooner than my previous visits when I waited in the regular queue. One downside to the Buddy Pass is that you miss out on all the cool wall decor and hidden Mickey's that are in the regular queue.
