Best Western Park Place Inn | Anaheim, CA | Hotel Review

Personal review of the Best Western Park Place Inn located in Anaheim,CA.

If you are looking for a hotel near Disneyland you can't get any closer than this one.  The Best Western Park Place Inn  is located directly across the street to the main gates (on Harbor Blvd.) of the Disneyland Resort Parks in Anaheim, California.

Just before the pandemic of 2020 occurred I had plans to stay at the Best Western Park Place Inn in conjunction to an event I was attending at the Anaheim Convention center.  Unfortunately my event was cancelled last minute.  Best Western Park Place Inn actually called me to let me know because of the event cancellation they would be happy to fully waive any fees if I needed to cancel my room.  While I appreciated the gesture and customer service, I decided to turn my trip into a mini vacation and enjoy a couple days at Disneyland.

My über dropped me off at the front and I proceeded to the lobby.  First off you can not get any closer to the park.  You are literally steps away from the Disneyland sign.  The lobby staff were very welcoming and a nice surprise was they upgraded me to a room that was directly above the lobby.  I can't guarantee this option is available to everyone as they are typically fully booked, I believe it was a kind gesture they offered to me because they had so many vacancies due to the Pandemic.

I proceeded to the elevator down the hall up to the 3rd floor to my room. The room I was assigned had two queens with updated room decor.  In addition to the updated decor, there was a flat screen tv, microwave and mini fridge that are standard in the rooms.  This particular room was extremely spacious.  I was traveling alone but I definitely think this room would be very accommodating to a family like mine with two adults and my kids which are teen and adult ages.  I don't know if rollaway beds are an option but if it is there is more than enough room.

My room view was amazing.  I could see the Disneyland sign and every few minutes I could see the monorail drive by too.  The shutters fully close and I didn't have any light leaks or noise from Harbor Blvd at night when I went to sleep. The only thing that was kinda noisy was the air conditioner, but after a while I got used to it.  It is a wall mount air conditioner under the window but it had sufficient airflow keeping to entire room cool.  The bed was comfortable as well and the pillows were like sleeping on clouds.  The wifi signal was very strong, which I know is extremely important if you are a social media guru like me!  I didn't have the opportunity to check out the other amenities like the pool or the gift store, but they are available onsite.

This hotel offers a complementary breakfast each morning.  The breakfast is located right next to the hotel at the Captain Kid restaurant.  Hotel guests go directly up the stairs and check in with the staff.  I honestly wasn't expecting that there was going to be any options besides maybe a banana and some orange juice.  I was pleasantly surprised they had several options that can easily accommodate gluten free.  One thing to keep in mind (before pandemic) is that this is a buffet style.  They have options like eggs, bacon, sausage, etc in different covered bins each with their own tongs.  You can request gluten free bread from the staff and they toast it in the back in a dedicated toaster and bring it to you.  I actually found plenty of food to eat and it kept me full until lunch.

Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at the Best Western Park Place Inn.  The location alone is worth it to me!  If you are interested in supporting my blog on your next Disney vacation please consider booking through my travel partner Get Away Today.
