Great Wolf Lodge Northern California Grand Opening Information. I was invited by the Great Wolf Lodge Media team to explore the facilities with my family for the afternoon on their Grand Opening Day June 29th,2021.
Waiting with much anticipation, I am excited to share that the Great Wolf Lodge welcomes guests to their newest location Great Wolf Lodge Northern California. The official grand opening date is on June 29th, 2021.
The Great Wolf Lodge Northern California is located in Manteca, California on 29 acres (Nearly the size of the entire field at Levi’s Stadium). This location is about 75 miles from California’s capital city Sacramento and also not far from the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. The indoor waterpark at Great Wolf Lodge Northern California will be the only indoor waterpark in the Central Valley, offering more than 95,000 square feet of enclosed fun with slides, pools and water play for all ages, and a cozy 84-degree temperature year-round.
In order to gain access to the Great Wolf Lodge waterpark you must be a registered paid guest of the hotel. At this time they are not offering day passes to the waterpark to non hotel guests.
An overnight stay at Great Wolf Lodge Northern California includes two days of indoor water park fun – with access starting after 1pm on check-in day and the ability to stay until park close on the day of check-out. Standard rates start at $199.99 per night.

Waterpark attractions include:
• Fort Mackenzie: Great Wolf Lodge’s signature, multi-level water play structure featuring suspension bridges, slides and spray stations. Atop of Fort Mackenzie sits a massive, 1,000- gallon tipping bucket that pours out every three-to-four minutes, to the glee of children waiting below. Attached to the play structure are six water slides, including four twisting body slides that originate from the top of the structure and two at a lower level designed for toddlers.
• Toteum Towers: Escape Fort Mackenzie! The Totem Towers water slides are the perfect way to fly the coop once you’ve reached the top of our water fort treehouse. Blast off on your own or race a friend to the finish line. Then you can start all over again!
• Wolf Tail: A thrill-seekers delight. Guests step into a launch pod and listen to the rhythmic sound of a heartbeat as they wait for the floor to drop out from underneath, hurling them into a nearly vertical, 20-foot free fall, followed immediately by two 360-degree, high-speed loops.
• Rapid Racer: This single or double person tube slide is sure to unlock that racing spirit. Riders begin the race side-by-side and then speed down a course featuring drops, chutes and serpentine curves. As riders wind their way down, they encounter two sections of the course where they find themselves side-by-side their competitor with only a low wall separating racers.
• River Canyon Run: A rollicking family raft ride that sends up to five riders on a white-water adventure into a saucer and down one of the park’s longest slides. With no steep drops, this a great beginner slide for younger kids, or thrill-adverse parents.
• Otter Run: A body slide with quick turns that provide an exhilarating thrill.
• Club Paw Pool: Geysers and a zero-depth entry welcome you to a terrific territory for tykes and toddlers. The perfect water park splash for your kids, Cub Paw Pool offers tiny kiddie slides and rainbow-colored jet skis with water cannons on your way to the 18-inch “deep” end.
• Slap Tail Pond: A family favorite. The audio cue of a howling wolf brings this gigantic wave pool to life with waves reaching up to three feet in height. The active surf rolls through every five minutes, to the giggling delight of every child in the pool.
• Crooked Creek: A reprieve from the more active attractions in the waterpark, guests can relax and float on tubes down this winding lazy river that careens underneath and around Fort Mackenzie in the middle of the park.
• Chinook Cove: Our activity pool featuring basketball hoops, floating obstacles and other action- oriented elements for children.
• Big Foot Pass: Unique water obstacle challenge where kids and adults alike balance on floating logs and lily pads while traversing the pool. Cargo netting hangs down to help guests cross from one side to the other.
• Whooping Hollow: A special section of the waterpark designed exclusively for toddlers and younger guests. This play pool is filled with perfectly sized water slides featuring gentle slopes and tiny turns, making them the go-to attractions for the “under 42 inches” set. Adjacent is a zero-depth entry pool with water fountain features and spray-and-play adventures.
The resort will also feature a stunning outdoor, zero entry, resort pool surrounded by luxurious outdoor cabanas so families can relax and enjoy some of the favorable California weather.

Allergy Awareness
At Great Wolf Lodge, our chefs are passionate about preparing culinary options to accommodate the food allergies and dietary restrictions of our guests. We are more than happy to assist with your dietary needs, and encourage you to speak directly with our chef so your meal can be prepared safely. Our culinary team does not use or serve peanuts or peanut-based products in any of our Great Wolf Lodge branded restaurants to help avoid a common food allergen, and we have separate allergy-free prep areas that our are utilized when preparing meals for guests with dietary restrictions. While we are very cautious with our allergy-free preparations, some of our ingredients may be manufactured in facilities that also process nuts and other allergens, and we cannot guarantee there has been no cross-contamination during the manufacturing process.

My family was invited by the Great Wolf Lodge Northern California to enjoy a complementary meal during our visit. We had Gluten Free Burgers at Buckets Burgers & More. They were served on a gluten free bun. We were told the fries were made in a shared fryer so if that is a concern for you, you will want to avoid them. The Timbers Restaurant which has a variety of Mexican cuisine I was told the entire menu (except churros) was able to accommodate gluten free as well. The other eateries were not yet open on our Day visit. The chef was very helpful going over our options at both locations and was very knowledgable about gluten free.
