I've had two fantastic meals here so far! Almost everything I've tried has been a hit. The red bean sticky rice was certainly unique in taste and texture – definitely worth trying for the adventurous palate. As someone who often needs modifications, it was a joy to order the fried rice as is, since it's made without soy sauce. With so much more on the menu, I can't wait to return! A heads-up: the portions are generous, so bringing friends is a great idea. Reservations are highly recommended, as walk-in waits can be long. However, if you're over 21 and in a party of three or fewer, snagging a spot at the bar is a real treat!
Ordering gluten-free is easy! Just find the items marked with a red "GF" on the paper menu – those are all set. To be extra safe, it's always a good idea to tell your server about your gluten allergy when you order. I've heard they can sometimes make other adjustments, but I've always been happy with the dishes specifically labeled GF.
By being proactive and communicating your needs, you can enjoy a delicious and worry-free meal at this celebrated restaurant. So, the next time you're in the Disneyland area and craving a taste of Taiwanese excellence, know that Din Tai Fung has something delightful for everyone, even those of us following a gluten-free path.
