Gluten Free Food Safety Protocols at Disneyland.
There are a variety of reasons why people visiting Disneyland might be on a gluten free diet. You must take everything you read out there on the Internet with a "grain of salt", because every person is in various stages of their gluten free journey. Not everyone has the same sensitivity or comfort level when it comes to gluten free food. This is why it is important to do your own research before consuming any gluten free food at Disneyland.

It is ALWAYS Recommended while you are at the Disneyland Resort Parks to SPEAK WITH a CHEF before consuming anything if you have dietary restrictions or food allergies! Keep in mind Disneyland often makes changes to menus, food suppliers and recipes, so items that were once safe might not be the next time you visit.
Here is a brief summary of information I have compiled based off conversations I’ve had with the Disneyland special diets team when I inquired about gluten free safety protocols and cross contamination.
- Safety is the number one priority at Disneyland Resort!
- Disneyland takes all reasonable efforts to prevent introductions of allergen through sourcing, preparations & handling
- Disneyland does not have separate kitchens to prepare allergen friendly foods (Therefore they can not guarantee that allergens might have been introduced at any stage of food chain process or inadvertently during preparation)
- Each Location has specific dedicated Cast Members who have had extensive training to better understand & handle special dietary needs.
- Disneyland Chefs are trained & take every precaution against cross contamination
- Always alert Disneyland Cast Members when you arrive to have further discussion on your dietary needs.
- Discretion is left up to each individual guest to make an informed choice whether or not to order gluten free food.
