Information on the NEW Edible Straws at Disneyland | Disneyland Gluten Free | Gluten Free Disneyland
Are Paper straws a thing of the past? Paper straws are horrible, they often start to fall apart as soon as they are placed in liquid. Disneyland has started offering Edible Straws at select locations inside both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Parks. The BIG question from the Community is are they GLUTEN FREE?
There is a lot of uncertain information out there if Paper Straws at Disneyland are Gluten Free. I have talked to Disneyland Special Diets Team, the Chefs and looked up information from the manufacture who supplies Disneyland paper straws and I have been told Disneyland Papaer Straws are IN FACT Gluten Free! Obviously you can still bring your own straw if you prefer or here is some information about the NEW Candy Edible Straws.
These edible straws are made from candy. Straws are available for an additional $1 with a frozen beverage purchase at Candy Palace in Disneyland & Bing Bongs in Disney California Adventure.

Strawberry- Sugar, water, corn starch, gelatin, stabilizer sonic carboxymethylcellulose, humectant glycerin, food flavoring concentrated (sweet potato, radish, cherry, apple and lemon), antioxidant citric acid
At First I got a sugar rush drinking through these but it wasn't too bad & the straw does get sticky once you put it in the cup. These held up great in my slush drink, even and hour later it was still perfect unlike paper straws. Once you start to bite into them they do start to melt. It was a nice treat at the end of my slush drink. I feel like these are a great alternative to the paper straws.
