My recent visit was for a leisurely late breakfast at 11:30 am. To streamline the check-in process, I used the Disneyland app about 20 minutes prior to our reservation time. Shortly after, I received a text message instructing us to head to the reservation desk for further details. This initial step is designed to grant your group the opportunity to snap a photo with the affable Goofy himself before you're seated. Moreover, it offers them a chance to double-check any dietary allergies and inquire if you'd like a consultation with the chef to explore the array of gluten-free options available on the buffet.
Once seated, our server took our drink orders, followed by a visit from the chef. He thoughtfully guided us through the buffet, pointing out what items were gluten-free and those to avoid. Additionally, the chef could provide certain gluten-free items from the kitchen, including delectable offerings like gluten-free Mickey pancakes, Mickey-shaped waffles, muffins, chocolate chip cookies, and, at my request, a peanut butter jelly pizza on a gluten-free crust. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that a majority of the items on the buffet were gluten-free.

As I grazed through the buffet, I couldn't resist indulging in a little bit of everything until I was pleasantly full. Some of my favorites included the breakfast potatoes, deviled eggs, and the delightful jello adorned with whipped cream and Mickey-shaped sprinkles. What truly made my day was stumbling upon the DIY chia parfait station. For those in the know, I'm a huge fan of Disneyland's chia parfaits, which can occasionally be found in select grab-and-go refrigerated sections exclusive to the hotels and certain quick-service locations.
The only minor hiccup during my dining experience was the presentation & selection of sliced cheese in the deli charcuterie section; it tended to stick together, making it a bit challenging to serve.
While we savored our meal, the characters made their rounds to each table, providing a sprinkle of Disney magic to our dining experience. Periodically, cheerful music would fill the air, prompting all the characters to dance their way around the entire restaurant. During these joyful moments, guests were encouraged to wave their cloth napkins in the air, adding an extra layer of whimsy. The character interactions were nothing short of phenomenal. Our table was graced by the presence of Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Minnie Mouse, and they made it a point to visit us individually at least five times during our hour and a half stay. Each interaction was brimming with fun and laughter, and since we were dressed as Chip and Dale, they adored us so much that Dale even gifted us surprise sugar packets as a sweet gesture.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast, especially if you require gluten-free accommodations. The gluten-free food offerings were impressive, the service was impeccable, the chef's guidance was invaluable, and the character interactions were simply magical.
If you happen to have a dining reservation between September 21, 2023, and October 31, 2023, you're in for a special treat. Disneyland is spicing things up at Goofy's Kitchen by adorning it with Halloween decorations, and all the characters will be donning their spooktacular Halloween costumes for added fun!
